Spatial organization of cells plays vital role in virtually all biological areas, such as neuroscience, oncology, developmental biology, immunology, etc. Thus, spatial transcriptomics has arisen as a ground-breaking technology providing incomparable insights into the intricate molecular landscape of tissues and organs. By bridging the gap between conventional gene expression analysis and spatial information, through this cutting-edge methodology, researchers can unravel spatially resolved molecular networks, cellular interactions, and heterogeneity with unparalleled precision.

At the forefront of sequencing technology, BMKGENE internally developed and manufactured a high-resolution spatial transcriptomics chip (BMKMANU S1000) to accommodate the rising demands of increase resolution on the studies in the field. With approx. 2.2 million different barcoded spots per 6.8 mm x 6.8 mm area the BMKMANU S1000 can achieve a resolution on 4.8 um, allowing for both the single cell split inside the spatial transcriptome and even sub-cellular resolution of transcripts.

In this presentation, we will delve into the principles and applications spatial transcriptome sequencing technologies. Real-world examples will demonstrate how this technology has modernized our capability of unveiling the transcriptomic signature of tissue architecture. Moreover, we will explore the experimental workflow and everything a researcher needs to start the study in its own lab. BMKMANU S1000 is compatible with standard 96-well thermocyclers, and thus provides a cost-effective solution, without the need to purchase additional specialized equipment.  Finally, we will discuss bioinformatic strategies for data analysis and interpretation, enabling the extraction of meaningful biological insights from spatially resolved transcriptomic datasets.

In conclusion, this presentation endeavours to offer attendees a comprehensive understanding of BMKGENE spatial transcriptomics solutions, equipping them to leverage its capabilities in propelling their research forward and pioneering novel possibilities in biomedical science.
