The article titled “Microbiome-metabolome analysis directed isolation of rhizobacteria capable of enhancing salt tolerance of Sea Rice 86” published in Science of the Total Environment explores the rhizosphere bacterial diversity and soil metabolome of SR86 seedlings under varying salinity conditions to investigate their role in plant salt tolerance.

It was discovered that salt stress significantly impacts both rhizobacterial diversity and rhizosphere metabolites. Additionally, four plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) were isolated and characterized for their ability to enhance salt tolerance in SR86.

These findings offer valuable insights into the mechanisms of plant salt tolerance mediated by plant-microbe interactions and promote the isolation and application of PGPR in the restoration and utilization of saline soil.

BMKGENE provided comprehensive 16S amplicon sequencing and metabolomics sequencing services for this study.
